1983 Gabi and Robert Gaugler founded the Auto Gaugler company. It all began with the opening of a car workshop in a barn in Ellwangen-Rattstadt.
A first tow truck was also purchased. This DB 808 was the first tow truck in the region to be equipped with a loading crane.
1989 New building in Veit-Hirschmann-Strasse in Ellwangen and opening of the Auto Gaugler & Baumann master workshop. There is now a sufficient number of parking spaces for tow vehicles, customer and used cars.
1990
Expansion of the vehicle fleet to include another platform vehicle with a loading crane.
2009 Construction of a further vehicle hall to meet the needs of the expanded vehicle fleet and the increased order volume.
2011 Expansion of the vehicle fleet by a second emergency train for cleaning traffic areas.
2012 Expansion of the vehicle fleet to include a 4-axle recovery vehicle for heavy traffic and a fully equipped equipment trolley for the commercial vehicle sector.
2013 Acquisition of a tractor unit with a skip loader. This vehicle is used in the heavy load sector for rescues and transfers. It is also available to the environmental service department for soil remediation.
2013 Opening of our location in Aalen.
Our newly built location in the Brühl industrial park is centrally located between the A7 junction Aalen / Westhausen and the federal roads 19 & 29 on the outskirts of the large district town of Aalen.
We offer you our entire range of services at the Aalen site, from breakdown assistance to towing and recovery to cleaning of traffic areas. Of course, you can reach us around the clock, 365 days a year.
2017 Acquisition of two new platform vehicles for the passenger car sector.
2018 Expansion of the vehicle fleet with a new recovery vehicle for heavy traffic. The latest generation of the MASTERLIFT Comfort H was built on a Volvo FH 540 8x4 chassis. In addition to a fully hydraulic telescopic boom with a maximum lifting capacity of 40 t, the vehicle has two cable winches with 20 t pulling power each, rear support and equipment for all towing and recovery operations in heavy traffic.
